Melissa will be the guest on next Thursday's (Nov. 19th) Herbal Highway with Karyn Sanders on KPFA FM 94.1.
Melissa will be presenting a day long seminar on the Essences of Greece. The Twenty Tree Essences, the Twelve Starshine Astrology Essences and the flower and tree harmonies will all be covered. These Essences although new to North America, have been used extensively by homeopaths, essence practitioners and herbalists in Britain for the past ten years. They all come from the Greek island of Lesbos, where Melissa has been a part-time resident for nearly 20 years.
She says :
"I have been so blessed to have been allowed to have been the conveyer of the message/medicine of these plant spirits. These gentle remedies have enhanced my practice in a way I could never have imagined. I love them dearly and look forward to introducing them to a wider audience here in the Bay Area."

Hi Everybody:
I hope this finds you all well and life and homeopathy are thriving back in the USA.
I have been out of the country for most of the last 10 months and now find myself in Ghana Africa.
I was at a conference on Homeopathy in Developing Countries in Holland this May, and met up with an old homeopathy friend who is the founder of the Ghana Homeopathy Project here. She has been coordinating projects such as rural clinics, teaching programs and bringing volunteers here for a number of years and I have volunteered to stay here 6-12 months to coordinate things.
Ghana is interesting as they already have an active natural health movement, which is mainly the indigenous herbal treaments they use. However, there is an alternative and complementary medicine department as part of the Ministry of Health and I have already met the Director of Policy and of Education in this department and they are very interested in homeopathy and the current program we are offering. They are even giving out the certificates for the program we are doing now, stamped by the Ministry of Health!
We have brought two experienced Indian homeopaths to do a training program in Accra and another town called Kumasi. I have also taught the last four days as the Indian doctors travel to rural clinics in various parts of the country.
When they leave I am planning to establish a teacher training program and work with the government department to get levels of education, certification and accreditation accepted. If we can get formal government recognition of a homeopathy training program and professional recognition, there will be real incentive for people to train.
I am in process of also designing a clinical training program here so students from North America and Europe can come here and participate in the rural clinics we have ongoing. It will be a great experience for people to come here and see homeopathy being practiced here.
We also need volunteers to come and work here.
We have one clinic waiting to go. It was run until recently by two Brit homeopaths and there is a beautiful clinic room in the town of Kumasi to work in. So, we need two homeopaths to come here and practice for up to six months...
Also, I am trying to raise funds for the project. This teaching program cost the project a lot of money and there is very little left. My time is being donated and it has also cost me quite a lot to be here and get established. We are hoping to buy a motorbike for the project so that I and other volunteers can get to the various clinics. We also have to plan for the teaching training program which is not cheap to do. So, please help out in any way and also if an abbreviated email of this one can be sent out to students and graduates, I would appreciate it.
For donations, please go to my donation site, which is www.justgiving.com/

Thanks for all your help and do be in touch. If you have any questions, email me or call me on (233) 248147943. It will be good to hear from you.
all the best
Richard
